As some of you may have noticed - I am totally back in the grunge-mood of styling. I used to wear doc martens, band tees, and old knitted jumpers in the early 90s, when Kurt Cobain still were alive, all the cool boys at school dressed like him and we all listened to Nirvana...This is my new favorite Kurt Cobain tee from Cheap Jacks vintage Clothing in New York. Paid 35 dollars only.

Vintage-shopping New York

Have been hunting for good vintage-stores in New York this weekend. Bacon`s Closet on 88n 11th, is worth a visit. Cheap prices, and if you have time to search around you can find lots of goodies
The store is located in Williamsburg( Brooklyn area) They have vintage and modern clothing....
This is one of my new tees... got it for 11 dollars only...also bought a smashing pumpkins tee for my boyfriend, a pair of shoes, two jumpers and a jacket....

Things have happened since the original air-cushioned Dr. Martens boots were designed by the German doctor Klaus Maertens in 1945. The black original doc. Martens is still the most popular, but If you want a shiny girlie model; you can get doc. Martens in purple, grey or pink next season. I still have a pair of docs, bought 13 years ago, but they are way too big, - remember I bought them so I could have plenty of socks in it. Yesterday I tried the new models on at the press day at Star pr, but black is still my favorite.

Customized studded vest and ripped jeans

I love to customize my clothes, and since I love studs, my new project is a studded vest! My boyfriend have the coolest AC/DC vest from he was a teenager- now I want my own.
Gave away my feather earrings to Maria at the Flea market and got her old Levis vest......soon ready to wear after some hours work...
Ripped jeans: My old wesc jeans got a new life, and they are hotter than ever, and way cheaper than the ripped jeans you buy in the store..

WEAR Fake Fur for the animals sake.

Its getting colder, and today I had to leave my leather jacket at home, and wear the coat I bought at the flea market last weekend. Its second hand, fake fur and warm. Could it be any better? Since the 1960s, imitation fur coats have become the fashionable alternative to the real thing, and I am so glad designers such as Stella McCartney and celebrities wear fake fur.

have been looking for the perfect pair of black cowboy boots the last months.
Did buy a nice pair in London 4 years ago, but they are too big, and for sale this weekend at my backyard sale. Velouria vintage have so many nice boots, but haven`t find my size yet, but saturday I spotted black boots at Fretex unika in my size.
The cowboy fashion was based on the working clothes of American cowboys and early American pioneers, and were at the most popular in the late 1960s and 1970s.

Fretex Unika- window shopping 4 real

Fretex Unika, located in Markveien 51, is full of handpicked items...............
... and once a month people are standing in a line outside the store to get the most fashionably clothes, shown in the window on the mannequins....
today - we were around 20 people- me included- waiting for fretex unika to open at 10. I did my window shopping a week ago and spotted a really nice studded leather jacket- and lucky for me- the others in the line was looking for other items.....

Cubus flagstore vip night

Did find a really nice new neck warmer at Cubus yesterday. They did celebrate their new flagstore at Karl Johan, with a special vip event, and everything was 40% off...
came back home with a nice goodybag, 2 knitted neck warmers, and a poncho for free....

Twiggy is still alive, and a style icon. Yesterday I bought two lovely twiggy teacups at my local boutique & coffe bar; appletree in Vibesgate 15, for 55 each.
The owner told me that Elvis is on his way too... might be back for them and the "lettres"box.

Think Nirvana - grunge and Kurt Cobain. This secondhand jumper smells like teen spirit Got it at the sundays flea market, for 200 kr. Its hanknitted, oversized, and I love the leather details on the chest pocket.
Grunge spread quickly from teenagers and rock bands to the fashion runways. Marc Jacobs is one designer known for beeing inspired by the grunge coulture

my vintage musk ox parkas

This is the jacket I bought at the flea market yesterday. The old-owner also bought it secondhand many years ago, what makes me even more curious to know the story behind the Musk ox-jacket. Who was the owner before her? Who did buy the jacket in Denmark? And how many times has the jacket changes the owner??? I love to wear second hand- and I hope everyone out there think twice before they buy brand new clothes. Give Fretex the clothes you don`t wear anymore. Remember; your old clothes can be others new clothes!

sunday shopping

Why go to London, when you can find lots of treasures at the Sunday flea marked in town.
love the consept. My friend Tinki and I did some good secondhand shopping today while walking our dogs. First stop: Blå, Brenneriveien
Tinki got her selv some really nice laced up boots and earrings, and I got myself two jumpsuits with 80s details, and a grunge knitted jumper with leather details.
Up next: Flea marked at Birkelunden; Grûnerløkka. Something for everyone to find...
....and a fake fur jacket is mine for 200 only... I also bought a warm military green parkas from Musk ox, Copenhagen, for 650. The girl to the left is the old owner, and it use to be her favorite.(will post pics of the jacket later- but it is so wet after getting home in the rain...)
